Steven Abrahams of Tipton Harriers was the winner of the University of Birmingham 14th Annual Road Race. He completed the 5k in a time of 16min 30sec. James Robertson of Kingston AC was second, 15 seconds behind him, and Jonathan Undy came in third.
The first woman home was Sophie Reynolds of Birmingham Running Athletics and Triathlon Club in 19min 4sec.
The winner of the 2k fun run was 13-year-old Jamie Bell from Kings Norton and the first girl home was 11-year-old Rebecca Stewart from Harborne.
Organiser Pete Hinton thanked everyone who took part and helped with the event, which raises money for Acorns, the local children’s hospice.
