About the Event
The start and finish are in the shadow of "Old Joe" - the red-brick University clock tower dominating the campus skyline. The main race attracts elite athletes and serious club runners, but gives anyone a chance to test their ability against a high standard of competition.
The fun run is designed for those who want a short sprint, a gentle jog or a stroll around the University grounds with the family. Children's teams from clubs and organisations are as welcome as moms and dads who want to wheel junior around in a pushchair.
Competitors for the 5k must be aged 16 or over, but anyone can enter the fun run/walk.
The first man and woman home in the 5k receives £100, and there are many other prizes as well as awards for all competitors in both races.
The organisers would like to thank the University of Birmingham, the race sponsors and the volunteers, without whose help the event would not be possible.
