Gigs
In 1977 and 1978 each day was spent wondering how you could stretch the £2.80 per week Family Allowance to enable you to see as many bands as possible. A night at Barbarella's was heaven, once through those doors into the red leatherette adorned labyrinth of rooms, it was all that mattered. Anarchy in the UK would come on the decks and everyone dived on the dance floor. The Passenger or Police and Thieves sent a tingle down the spine. Vince and the Armchair were inspired by such nights, backstage talking to the bands would make you think - 'We're doing this, we could play here, we will!'.
