The DHSS#3 - 1987-1989
Part 5 - The End
The Armchair had been up his own arse since the end of July of 1989 and the band had been almost dormant. There was a brief experiment with The Anarchic Duo/Armchair Thrash, with just the Armchair and Reeman performing acoustically but by December 1989, the band was finished. On December 22, the Armchair announced that he was 'sacking' the remaining members of the band and was now looking to recruit an entirely new set of musicians to continue with The D.H.S.S.
In January 1990 he sent a long letter of explanation to the Tamworth Herald outlining how disillusioned he had become with the band and the lack of adventure and 'live' activity. This prompted a spate of letters of reply which seemed to go on for weeks, boring everyone to death. The ultimate outcome being John Reeman and Anice stating that they were the D.H.S.S. and the Armchair, stressing that his version was the real band - all very, very sad indeed.
The Armchair had by now recruited new members for his new version of The D.H.S.S. and was soon to embark on D.H.S.S. number 4.
